Agricultural / Farms minimum wages 1 March 2011 - 2012
The CPI (excluding owners’ equivalent rent) utilized to determine minimum wage increases is 3.5% as published by Statistic South Africa on 19 January 2011.
The Sectoral Determination stipulates that the wage increase will be determined by utilizing the CPI + 1%. Therefore in terms of percentage increase, the new minimum wage as from 1 March 2011 will be 4.5% higher than the current minimum wage.
1 March 2011 to 29 February 2012
Hourly = R7.04
Weekly = R317.51
Monthly = R1375.94
