MIBCO (Motor Industry) 2011 - 2013 min wage rates
The Main Collective Agreement for the Motor Industry (Govt. Gazette No. 33963) Govt. Notice No. R1146 dated 28 January 2011, came into effect on Monday 7 February 2011 and shall remain in effect for the period ending 31 August 2013.
Agricultural / Farms minimum wages 1 March 2011 - 2012
The CPI (excluding owners’ equivalent rent) utilized to determine minimum wage increases is 3.5% as published by Statistic South Africa on 19 January 2011.
Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA) Amendements
The Minister of Labour has announced the changes to the BCEA.
Agricultural Sector New Wage Rates 1 March 2009
Wage rates have been increased with almost 12.1% and the Department of Labour have done away with differentiation in areas. All farm workers should now earn at least R6.31 per hour. (Download the new scales for full information)
Wholesale & Retail Sectoral Determination (SD 9)
Sectoral Determination 9 applies to all employers and workers in the wholesale and retail sector, including those associated with- * merchandising, * warehousing, or * distribution operations. New minimum wage rates were applicable 1 February 2008!!
Hospitality Sectoral Determination 1 July 2008 new rates.
In May 2007 the long awaited Sectoral Determination for the hospitality sector were gazetted. The conditions of employment for the hospitality sector, which covers all areas except those already covered by bargaining councils. 1 July 2008 the 1st increases at 12.1% is applicable.
