BEE
YLPS can assist companies with their BEE rating & scorecards.
Please note that BEE certificates is not compulsory, yet it does carry weight to have your business status verified by and accredited verification agency. YLPS basically processes the data and corresponds with the verification agents. Your business will be logged in their data basis.
In order to issue a document highlighting your status as an Exempted Micro Enterprise (EME), we require the following
- Completed Registration Form.
- Proof of payment: R1100.00 for an electronic “.pdf” confirmation certificate
- Copy of Enterprise Registration Documentation of enterprise, if applicable
- Official financial statements by an auditor/accountant for the last financial year or certified confirmation by an auditor/accountant of your enterprise’s turnover of the last financial year.
- Inform us about the sector in which you mainly operate and your entities main line of business through which you generate your revenue.
- If you are a Black-owned then copies of all documentation detailing and confirming black-ownership including Copies of ID Documents of all directors, members, partners, etc.
According to the codes your BEE status as Exempted Small Enterprise will have to be confirmed on an annual basis. The responsibility lies with you to update your status with each financial year and to inform your clients if the status changes at any given time.

On the 24th of March 2004 government published a document
called:South Africa’s Economic Transformation: A Strategy for
Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment

This document later lead to the publication of the Broad-based BEE Act which establishes a legislative framework for the promotion of Black Economic Empowerment and the publication of Transformation Charters and the issuing of BEE Codes of Good Practice;

The BEE Codes will set the framework for measuring BEE compliance levels of organisations and these BEE Codes will also later incorporate (under Code 800) the various Industry Transformation Charters
Organisations will be classified as either being:

An Exempted Micro Enterprise (EME)

Qualifying Small Enterprises to be measured in accordance with QSE Scorecard

Other Organisations to be measured in accordance with Generic Scorecard
